FACULTY & STAFF
APPLY FOR A GRANT
NCC Foundation is pleased to support programs and special projects at CT State Northwestern. Staff and faculty based at Northwestern are invited to apply for a grant each semester. Applications are always due one semester in advance.
Cultural Programming
The NCCF Cultural Planning grant program is intended to provide funding for programming that enriches the personal and/or academic lives of our students and the Northwest corner.
Innovation
The NCCF Innovation Grant program is intended to support the innovative and creative ideas that will have a positive impact on students and the campus community.
Process
Prior to being reviewed by the Foundation’s Grants Committee, the President's Office reviews all requests for campus mission and priority alignment. From there, grants that are aligned are sent to the Grants Committee to be reviewed in a competitive grant round. This means that each application is evaluated against all requests that come in for a round. Awards are based on available dollars per round (typically $4,000 - $5,000 for each grant category per round) and alignment.
Deadline
Grant applications are accepted twice a year; deadlines are typically the last Friday in October and the last Friday in March, 11:59 PM. The Committee will review the grant applications in November and April. Funding will be sent to the campus 1-2 months after.
Reporting
Grants are awarded with the expectation that a final report will be submitted by the grantee at the end of the project. The Committee would appreciate photos of the final project results. The date of this report will be included in your award letter, should your grant be approved.
